Treatment Overview

Sandra came to us stating that her breasts were too large (34J) and that she had suffered with back, neck and shoulder pain for many years. She also had difficulty in finding bras that were the right size, particularly as her right breast was bigger than the left. At her consultation I was able to measure the difference in breast volume between the two breasts and a bilateral symmetrising reduction with uplift was planned.

The Results

While it is impossible to predict the final cup size after surgery, most patients are very pleased to have reduced the size of the breasts to a much more manageable weight and to have breasts which are finally in proportion with their frame. They are finally able to purchase much more flattering underwear.

What the Patient said

After years of discomfort, I eventually made the decision to have a breast reduction. This has been the best decision of my life. I have a new lease of life and feel better about my shape. The treatment I received from Spire has been wonderful and I would gladly recommend this to anyone else thinking of having surgery.

What the Surgeon said

Sandra had over 1kg removed from the right breast and about 850g from the left, which evened the sizes out in order to improve her symmetry. There is still some residual swelling and bruising, which will resolve over the coming weeks. The scars are also still a little pink and firm, and these will soften and fade over the coming months with gentle moisturisation. Even at this early stage in Sandra’s recovery, she is pleased with the results.
