Ken Stewart heads off to Hanoi Vietnam this week to undertake an ear reconstruction workshop. In association with the BFIRST charity Ken will be running the workshop with Dr Walid Sabbagh (London) and Dr Pihlamas (Helsinki).
In Hanoi there is a vast unmet need for both kids born with microtia and adults who lose their ears through motorbike trauma. It would be impossible to meet all that need and therefore, our mission is to train the local plastic surgeons in the nuances of the technique.This is our third mission to Vietnam. The local team lead by Dr Nguyen Ha are hugely talented and we are confident that they will soon be making beautiful ears all by themselves.
